When I spoke to with ManageEngine President Raj Sabhlok last week, he said that iOS devices are still the most popular devices among ManageEngine customers. But Sabhlok added that Android is becoming increasingly popular and that ManageEngine plans to update its IT management solution to include Android OS support. If you’ve been following ManageEngine’s solution developments during 2012, you’ve probably noticed that the company is only making its solutions compatible with iOS mobile devices. Password Manager Pro now also offers offline access to passwords with auto-synchronization to mobile devices and can integrate into Dropbox. And what’s more? They can do it from their iOS mobile devices. So what’s new? ManageEngine will now let its enterprise customers use its Password Manager Pro solution to launch browser-based Windows RDP, SSH and Telnet sessions. It helps enterprises meet security audits and gives enterprise IT admins real-time alerts on password access controls. ManageEngine says the Password Manager Pro’s central vault eliminates security lapses because it’s a secure storage and access vault for passwords and because it automatically generates password changes frequently. Password Manager Pro is a vault designed for ManageEngine’s enterprise business customers to store and manage what the software provider calls “shared sensitive information.” That includes things like passwords, important documents and other information that make up a company’s digital or virtual identity. We’ll get into the details in a minute, but first a little background on the solution itself.
